Many of St. Petersburg’s palaces offer the chance to hold conferences, meetings and other business events there. There are conference facilities at the Anichkov Palace, at the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace, at the Palace on Liteiny, the Polovtsev House (House of Architects), at the Catherine, Marble, Tauride and Nikolaevsky Palaces, at the Baryatinsky, Kochubei and Neidgart Houses, at the palace of Prince Abamelek-Lazarev, and at the Shuvalov and Yusupov Palaces.
There are also conference rooms in the Russian Ethnographic Museum, the Central Museum of Communications and the St. Petersburg Union of Journalists.

The Anichkov Palace was the first stone palace built on Nevsky Prospect. It contains a ‘Carnival’ concert hall with capacity for 760 guests, a 360 square-metre Pine Foyer, an 850 square metre Marble Foyer, Yellow-Pillared Hall for 216 people, White-Pillared Hall for 200 people, and four drawing rooms for 100-130 people.

This palace on the corner of Nevsky Prospect and the Fontanka embankment once belonged to Prince Beloselsky-Belozersky. It now hosts conferences, presentations, festivals, exhibitions, corporate and business events. It contains a Hall of Mirrors (446m²) for 450 people, an Oak Hall (270m²) for 300 people and several drawing rooms.

This state complex is a modern business centre which represents the entire spectrum of congress services. It is located on the Gulf of Finland at Strelna. It includes: the Konstantinovksy Palace, the ‘Baltic Star’ 5-star hotel, 20 VIP cottages, a conference centre and Negotiations Pavilion. Its services include qualified personnel, modern conference rooms, the latest equipment and a comfortable hotel. The Konstantinovsky Palace has four rooms: Blue, Marble, Trojan and Belvedere. The ‘Baltic Star’ has five rooms: Petrovsky, Nikolaevsky, Konstantinovksy, Alexandrovsky and Pavlovsky. The Negotiations Pavilion contains three rooms: Ceremonial, Buffet and Negotiations. In the press centre there is a room for negotiations and a VIP room. Finally, there is also a Public Hall in the Stable Block.

The home of Princess Dolgorukaya built in the 1840s by A. Nizovtsev is now known as Palace on Liteiny or Olympia club. As well as a casino, the palace houses a spacious congress hall equipped with the latest technology, which is suitable for conferences, presentations, banquets and receptions for 150-220 people. The palace’s elegant Emerald, Terracotta and Golden drawing rooms are suitable for smaller business meetings of 10-30 people.

The size and beauty of the great hall of the Catherine Palace make it one of the most impressive of all the palaces in St. Petersburg’s environs. The 1000m² hall is the setting for the most important receptions, balls and banquets at the highest level. There is also the Stasov (Predtserkovy) hall (200m²). The Princes’ Dining Hall and spacious Dance Hall (formerly known as the Concert Hall) at the Nikolaevsky Palace were traditionally used for holding ceremonial dinners and society balls. The Concert Hall (300m²) can accommodate conferences of 350 people, while the Princes’ Dining Hall (250m²) can host a buffet for 200 people. The Residence Taleon Sheremetev Palace is an old aristocratic mansion built back in the eighteenth century. Before the 1917 revolution it belonged to Count Alexander Sheremetev and his family. Today the residence has been restored and recovered its former splendour.
